A background or HERITAGE and INDUSTRY that are closely related. 1860 –1870 : Creation of Passementerie Benoit Gonin, specialising in braids and laces. 1970: Bought out by Ets. TREPAL Tresses et Passementeries de la Loire. 1990-1997: Creation of EFFET, the chenille specialist which went on to become EFFET PASSEMENTERIES in 1997. A range of complementary products made up of chenille, braids, cords, fringes and hand-made trimmings... give the company new momentum. 1998: Opening of EFFET ACCESSORIES, the outlet shop in the heart of our company.

EXCEPTIONAL LOCATION:
There was a time when the textile industry grew hand in hand with water from which is drew the energy it needed to operate. Effet passementeries is set up in Saint Paul en Jarez at the foot of the Regional Pilat Park, in one of these former water plants. This protected heritage is made up of stone buildings and rectangular-shaped yards, surrounded by abundant greenery.
